Town Board Meeting Monday, March 24, 2008

The Town Board met on March 24, 2008.

In his Supervisor’s Update, Peter Dolan announced that work will be starting up again soon on the Millennium Pipeline. The project will next have to go under the Indian Kill Reservoir. Some audience members, who live in the Laurel Ridge/Clinton Woods section of town, expressed concern that the quality of their drinking water may be affected.

The main business of the night was the appointments of new members to the Town Planning Board and Zoning Board. Susan Goodfellow and Robert Thompson, both of Tuxedo Park, were appointed to the Planning Board and Clifford Loncar of Maplebrook was appointed to the Zoning Board. It was announced that a seat on the Architectural Review Board as well as a new “alternate” member of the Planning Board will be appointed at a later date, hopefully the next Town Board meeting.

The Board also granted a sign permit to Prudential Rand for advertising the availability of rental space at Sterling Mine Court.

Sandy Boss, Court Clerk, was commended for having successfully obtained a grant from the Orange County Courts, which will pay for a metal detector to be installed in the Town Hall among other things.
