The
Board of Zoning Appeals met on Thursday November 29, 2007. This
was the continuation of a hearing from October 3, 2007 regarding the
application of Andrew Siegel for property located on Lookout Stable
Road. Present were BZA Chair Gary Glynn and members Maureen Coen,
Jon Whitney and Wayne Lyski. Board member Mary Darby was
absent. After several hours of heated discussion on the part of
various neighbors, the Board voted regarding the requested relief from
the minimum area and bulk regulations as well as driveway
regulations. After careful deliberation all requested variances
were unanimously granted. The Board, with the advice of the BZA
Attorney, did impose several conditions. The approval is subject
to the approval of the final construction plans relating to drainage,
water pressure and capacity. The Board also referenced a letter
from the Village Board of Architectural Review, which stated that they
have seen no proposal that they can support and therefore, the granting
of the variance is conditioned upon the approval of the BAR and also
the Planning Board if necessary.
