Mayor Stebbins and Planning Board Chair JoAnn Hanson sought legal opinion on the 2006 term limits law before acting to reappoint Sam Bornstein to the Planning Board. Those opinions, based on the language of the law as written, supported the Planning Board’s decision to request Mr. Bornstein’s reappointment.
Trustee Chris Hansen and the Sunshine Report continue to insist that the Board of Trustees did not take into account the intent of the term limit law.
