The Town Board met on Monday, October 22 at 7:30 pm.
In his Supervisor’s Update, Supervisor Dolan reported that he expects to finalize the Town’s garbage contract this week. In addition, he is in the process of finalizing the Police contracts. Councilpersons Siegel and Castricone are continuing work on the Town’s Master Plan. Finally, the final touches are being put on the 2008 Preliminary Town Budget.
During the regular portion of the meeting, several resolutions were passed:
- The Public Hearing for the 2008 Preliminary town budget will take place at the next regularly scheduled Town Board meeting on Monday, November 12.
- The annual Public Hearing on 2008 Hamlet Sewer charges will take place on Tuesday, November 13 at 7pm.
- James Latini of Latini Management Corp was granted a Special Sign Permit for a temporary double sided sign to be placed on the old Duck Cedar Inn site. The sign will advertise space available for lease in the new Duck Cedar Plaza.
- A special Sign Permit was granted to the Tuxedo Volunteer Ambulance Corps for the purpose of publicizing the New Ambulance Dedication “Wetdown” Party to be held on Saturday, November 17.
During the Public Comment period, Dale Mattola mentioned that several of the fences surrounding the testing wells on the old dumpsite have been removed. She inquired as to whether or not the testing has been completed. Supervisor Dolan responded that he didn’t know and would look into it immediately.
