Town Board Meeting October 9, 2007

The Town Board met on Tuesday, October 9th at 7:30 pm. All Board members were present.

In his regular Supervisor’s Update, Supervisor Dolan announced several things:

  1. Negotiations have begun on a collective bargaining agreement to succeed the present Police contract, which expires on December 31, 2008.
  2. A tentative Town Budget was filed with the Town Clerk on September 29, 2007 and that copies have been distributed to all Town Board members as well as Town Counsel, Department Heads, the Tuxedo Park Library and the Village of Tuxedo Park.
  3. Official census takers have begun canvassing the Town for the 2010 Census and might visit resident’s homes. Residents should ask these individuals to produce identification.

During the meeting, the Town’s moratorium on Development was extended through January 10, 2008 as expected. The reason for extension is to give the Town more time to put together their new master plan.
